Getting there, Costa Rica

it was not as easy as expected. i had to pass the USA which was quite an adventure. you dont just stay in the transit area, you have to imigrate to get there. that means you leave your fingerprints and your eye signature to the government of the US. Forget about the saved water bottle from the planeyou would like to drink. Undress your shoes and get kind of radiated. And forget about your connectkng flights, because you are just one of all travellers and haveto line up for getting your non exsisting bag scanned. And forget about the timetable, because there will be a 2 hours delay for no particular reason. Luckily i made my flight because of that. But the crew of american airlines does no shit about imigration, connecting flights, ...
Anway i made it and slept a couple of hours at the airport in san jose. The bus was actually pretty comfortable and the scenery in the morning beautiful. The ferry ride provided me with a chatty aussie girl and a couple of nice germans. Arriving in santa teresa at my hostel the first thing i heard when approaching the kitchen was: du kommst doch aus jena, oder?! Two fellow jenaer were staying at the same backpackers. How nice. Hübi and Katrin know them too so we went out for dinner.
My first sessions in the pacific were quite good, i caught a couple of midsizes waves and was easy paddling back out. My ellbows need to get used to the acticity and i hope they do quikly and wont hurt that juch as last year. That's it for now, see you around.
