white chicks ;)

It has been a week by now and the two girls have arrived yesterday. as expected, they were exhausted and sweaty from the long bus ride to santa teresa which arrived at noon, the hottest time of the day. it was raining for the last 20 hours so the humidity was pretty high while the sun was burning down on us. we carried the luggage to our new home where they started to relax and enjoyed that everything from now on was working in costa rician time: the tides and the sun. they were both light lightbulps in the darkness, while everybody is so tanned over here.

They were excitied about the flowers, trees and animals they can see from our deck. we discovered a squirrel, geckos and evan a kilobri. after a lunch i went surfing and isabell and sandra enjoyed the view on the beach. Evan some hot surfer boys crossed their eyes during   their chillout sunset. in the afternoon we tried to play a game but they were so tired that their eyes were closed at times. no wonder i was winning.

 

Hübi and i had two rainy sessions so far. it has been a while since the ocean was warmer than the air, evan by just a bit. nevertehless when a string wind came up we started to feel a little cold, for the first time in costa rica. the waves are getting smaller so we were out as often as we could, trying to manouver ourselves through the other surfers and tourists in the water, which seemed to be a lot more than last year.

Anyway my sister bought my surfboard from germany, so i finally didn't had to use katrins who was unable to surf anyway. what was unfortunately for her, was pretty good for my first week in CR. but when i felt my own board under my feet, it instantly worked for me better and as hübi used to call it: die weiße göttin :) i had a very long right with evan 2 topturns which is a lot, because the ways are short right now. it felt really good. this morning the lefts seemed to be there for me and a rode out of about 5 ones. don't get confused, because of an injury in my arm i can surf only about 30-45 min. each session which limits my wave selection a lot.
