Australia part III

Byron itself didn't give me much to cheer about, but the area was beautiful and good surfing too. Me and William came close to the border and hang out in the less busy Northern Rivers area of NSW.

Thanks to photoshop and my qld license plates I was able to enter Queensland and catch up with a few people, but William could not. So it was time to say goodbye for now. I stayed mostly in Coolangatta having so many memories there. Sure I went back to be alone and there were hardly any backpackers to hang out with, but staying at Snapper every day was magical.

I went up to Brisbane to catch up with another extended family of David and Isabel who I met and shared some time 5 years ago. I took the chance of driving up to Noosa and surfed those long points. But it was super super crowded and a nightmare to sleep for free and worse to park anywhere.

On the way back I caught up with Annabelle whome I met in NZ 10 years ago and stayed with her for a great week. We skated, surfed, played golf and simply hang out like I never left.

Time was running out. I booked a flight as soon as they went back on track to make sure I came home on shedule. After getting to know Denise at the Goldie who, believe it or not, was in a parallel class in highschool for a few years, I had to get back to Sydney for my departure.

With only 3 days left and a few people to say goodbye for probably a very long time I cooked lasagne one last time for Skye and her parents, had a blast and way too much thai food with William, who was building his van, and said goodbye to Alie, who I lived with in Torquay 5 years ago. One last night with burgers and drinks with Skye and her partner in Bondi was the last thing to do and some tears ran down our cheeks as I had to say goodbye to my new sister.

That's all that's it. A whole year and still not enough memories. A empty heart and big question marks in my head left behind wether or not I will be able to integrate myself into the old life again and if I actually want that or am I finally and fully lost my roots and home base... I don't wanna go back or at least not for long, since I'm now with a half happy half broken heart.
